全米OPENや全豪OPでよくこういう風景を見ますよね。
全米OPは9月、そしてオーストラリアは1月ですが、反対側にいるので真夏なんです。オーストラリアの夏は熱波が来ることが多く、そうすると 50度の温度を超える日が続きます。その中でテニスをするなんて想像できませんね。
You often see this kind of scene at the U.S. Open and Australian Open.
The U.S. OP is in September, and Australia is in January, but Melbourne is located in the southern hemisphere, opposite sides of the world, so it’s the middle of summer. In Australia, we often have heat waves in the summer, and when we have heat waves, the temperature often exceeds 50 degrees Celsius. I can’t imagine playing tennis in that.
