They say the economy’s momentum is all about sentiment, right?

Since Governor Takaichi took office,
Japanese stocks have been climbing steadily.
On her first day, they jumped 4.8%.
As shown in the table, under the previous governor, Mr. Ishiba, they apparently fell 4.8%.
Sentiment probably plays a role,
but ultimately, it’s the strong expectation that the leader will show determination
and see things through to the end!
