自転車道の問題提起の記事がありますね
ここで出ているフランスと日本を少し比べてみると

日本 410人 1億3千万人 40万㎞2 30％
対日本 50％ 50％ 1.5倍 50％
フランスは国土が日本の1.5倍、平地は倍あり、人口は半分、死亡人数は半分、ゆったりした国土で死亡者が半分以下という感じですね。そういう国と比べて意味があるんでしょうかね。
というより、日本はこんだけ土地が狭いのにこんなに死亡事故が少ないことを取り上げてほしいですね。
安全な自転車運行は欲しいですが、自転車道の整備が優先事項なんでしょうかね？
車を運転していて危ない思いは何度もありますし、自転車の交通を規定する法律は厳しくなりましたが、あまり変わっていないように思います。
こっちのほうが提案した方がよいのかと。
記事にもありますが、東京とパリに物理的にスペースがあるか、さらに、それを買い取る予算などまで突っ込んで書いてほしいですね。国レベル、都市レベルの数字がごちゃ混ぜにしていますね。
嫁は問題提起だからいいねん。と言いますが、できない絵空事だと、読む気も失せてしまいますね。
There’s an article raising issues regarding cycle paths, isn’t there?
Let’s compare France and Japan, as mentioned here, briefly:

Compared to Japan: 50 per cent, 50 per cent, 1.5 times, 50 per cent
France’s land area is 1.5 times that of Japan, its flat land is double, its population is half, and the number of fatalities is half – it seems that in a country with such spacious terrain, the number of fatalities is less than half. Is there really any point in comparing ourselves to a country like that?
Or rather, I’d like to see the media highlight the fact that, despite our land being so limited, we have so few cycling accidents.
Whilst I do want cycling to be safe, is the development of cycle paths really a priority?
I’ve had plenty of close calls whilst driving, and
although the laws governing cycle traffic have become stricter, it doesn’t seem to have made much difference.
Perhaps I should be the one to put forward a proposal on this.
As the article mentions, I’d like to see a more in-depth analysis of whether there’s actually enough physical space in Tokyo and Paris, and whether there’s even a budget to acquire it. The figures at national and city levels are all jumbled together here.
My wife says, ‘It’s fine because it raises an issue,’ but if it’s just a pipe dream that can’t be realised, I lose all interest in reading it.
