大変ですよね。でも、海外で携帯が使えなければ、もう最悪です。先月行ったヨーロッパでも、電車のチケット、レストラン、美術館の予約等ほとんどが携帯を使わないと予約できないのです。 ここでおすすめが eSIMです。
私が使ったのはAIRALOのeSIMです。 2018年以降の携帯ならば使用できるようですし、日本でダウンロードしていたら、その国に入ったら使用が可能です。国別、地域別など設定が可能です。
費用も日本のローミングより安いですし（個人的な感想）

When you go abroad, you can pull out your Japanese SIM and put in a local SIM overseas, or a roaming contract with a mobile phone company you have a contract with in Japan.

But if you can’t use your mobile phone abroad, it’s already a disaster.
