彼は数時間以内に携帯電話を手にすることができたようです。

On the same day and in the same place my friend also lost his mobile phone. He apparently dropped it on the bus on his way to the match. He realised he had dropped it when he entry playing game. When the match was over, he got the phone in the reception becuase staff picked it up at bus company and brought it back.
He luckyly got his cellular within a few hours after losing it.
Japan is a country where you lose your cellular unluckily and it will return it to you!
