日本の法律では喫煙は20歳以上と決まっていますので、未成年は吸ってはいけないのです。イギリス、アメリカでは18歳ですね。
でも、タバコを吸ってしまい、パリオリンピックを辞退選手がいます。法律なのでダメだと思いますが、
罰せられるのは親権のある親だそうです。
子供は注意を受けるだけなんでしょうか？
そうなると、タバコを吸って、オリンピックに出場できないという罰則は重すぎるんじゃないんでしょうか？
アメリカは面白いですね。18歳から吸っていいですが、21歳以上でないと購入できないようです。

Recently we heard that a single athlete who smoked under 20 years old can not play at the Paris Olympics because she broke the Japanese law.
When we see the explanation of this law in the Aichi Prefecture police, people under 20 years old got a caution and only parents got punished.
If my understanding is correct, that athlete gets only a caution.
So it is unnecessary to get a critical punishment she got for her like she can’t play at the Paris Olympics.
In the US, people can smoke over 18 but people over 21 can buy cigarettes.
