もともとは日本農家を守る意味もあったんでしょうが、今のコメ不足の時代には関税引き下げて、カルフォルニア米とか輸入せなあかんでしょう。

At this moment Japan was short of rice, government should take action immediately the tariffs for imported rice must be lowered and California rice and other rice must be imported.
