新聞やネットでICCの話が出ていますね。
ICCとアメリカがもめているみたいですが、マスコミはICCの所長が日本人で日本人が制裁を受けたから、取り上げている感があるので、それが情けない。
もっと本質を突いた記事を書いてほしいですね。
少し調べると、ICCがアフガニスタンでのアメリカの戦争犯罪の捜査をしたり、イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相に逮捕状を出したりているのがで、イスラエルの同盟国アメリカが反発しているようですね。
過去をさかのぼれば書ききれませんが、最近では2023年10月にハマスがガザでイスラエル人などを1200人殺して251人を捕虜にしたことから、イスラエルが攻撃を強くしていますね。イスラムの教えで「やったらやり返せ」という考えのある国々に、今の攻撃はやりすぎだと言っても、その通りだとは言わないですよね。
さらに、プーチンやハマスの司令官に逮捕状を出しているようですが、どれほど、効果があるんでしょうね？

There’s been quite a bit of talk about the ICC in the newspapers and online, hasn’t there?
It seems the ICC and the US are at loggerheads, but I get the impression the media are only covering this because the ICC’s chief prosecutor is Japanese and a Japanese national has been sanctioned—which is rather pathetic.
I wish they’d write articles that got to the heart of the matter.
A little research reveals that the ICC has been investigating US war crimes in Afghanistan and has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, which seems to have provoked a backlash from the US, an ally of Israel.
It would take too long to go back through the entire history, but more recently, in October 2023, Hamas killed 1,200 Israelis and others in Gaza and took 251 hostages, prompting Israel to step up its attacks. In countries where Islamic teachings include the principle of ‘an eye for an eye’, even if one were to say that the current attacks are excessive, they would hardly agree.
Furthermore, it seems arrest warrants have been issued for Putin and Hamas commanders, but how effective will that really be?
It’s a good article in that it provides a starting point for discussion, though.
