実はめちゃめちゃ悩んでこうしました。おそらく普通のガイドブックならこれが一番です。それは
サルディーニャス・アサーダス イワシの塩焼きです。
ポルトガルではイワシをよく食べます。特に6-9月新鮮な鰯が取れるので本当よく食べました。それも、塩をかけて炭火で焼くんです。どこかで見てませんか？そう日本ではこの食べ方ですよね。おそらく、ポルトガル人がやっていたのを我々が学んで同じことをしていると思います。
この期間に行くと、ストリートには炭火がいたるところでたかれていて鰯を焼いています。ですので、お店にはいる時、指さして、日本語でいいですよ、あれね！と言えば、ちゃんと出てきます。出てくると思います。
さらに、びっくりしするのは、イワシがだされた時、日本なら、一人前、2尾、おおくても3尾ですよね。でもポルトガルは大体6尾さらにじゃがいま、キャベツ、ニンジンと野菜がついて1人前、我々がいた10年前はそれでお店で6ユーロ、めちゃめちゃ安いですよね。
家族4人でお店に行って、子供も小さかったので、2人前しか頼まないと、4人いるんだから、4人分頼んでよとよく言われました。でも、我々の胃が小さいのをしっているよく行くお店は、日本人だからしゃーないかと笑ってくれました。

Sardinhas asadas, grilled sardines.
In Portugal, we often eat grilled sardines. Especially from June to September, because fresh sardines are available, we ate them very often. They are grilled over a charcoal fire with salt on top. Have you ever seen this way of cooking in some other place? Yes, we cook sardines, in the same way, as cooking in Japan.
Probably when the Portuguese came to Japan first time about 450 years ago they used to cook it this way and we learned to do the same thing.
During summer in Portugal, SO many restaurants grilled sardines on top of charcoal firing in the streets. So, when you go to a restaurant, just point and say in Japanese, “That’s it! and you will get it.
What is even more surprising is that when sardines are served, in Japan, restaurants serve two sardines, or at most three sardines for one person, but in Portugal, they serve at least 6 sardines, plus potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and other vegetables for 1 person.
When I went to the restaurant we have gone so often with my family, two adults and 2 children. The restaurant said with smiling please order 4 plates at least because my group has 4persons when we ordered 2 plates only because we can eat so much. They said please order 4 plates next time.
